It Doesn’t Take Much to Support Habitat’s Mission
To make a difference in the lives of our Habitat for Humanity families, it doesn’t take a full time, six day a week commitment. It simply takes a heart that wants to give back.
A perfect example of this is Habitat ReStore volunteer, Wayne Peters. Wayne came to Habitat ReStore in fall of 2013 looking for a way to get out, meet people and to give back to his community. Wayne helps out the team by doing customer service one afternoon a week.
“I enjoy talking with people, seeing what project ideas they have. It’s a way for me to be social but to help give back to a cause I believe in,” said Wayne.
The Habitat ReStore has plenty of opportunities over a variety of skill sets from cashiering to donation pick ups that ask minimal shift requirements. Come cashier for a morning or get a workout picking up donations for an afternoon. Whichever you choose, you’re helping our mission of bringing people together to build homes, communities and hope.
