Frequently Asked Questions about Volunteering

What should I wear to the ReStore when volunteering?

Wear comfortable clothes that you don't mind getting dirty and closed toe/heel shoes (athletic shoes or boots are best, no ballet slippers, crocs, heels, clogs, sandals, etc.).

I'll be there all day, do you provide lunch?

We do not typically provide meals for volunteers. There are however, abundant amounts of snacks and more than enough options for a quick bite to eat in the area.

Can I bring a group along to volunteer?

Certainly! We have groups of up to 15 people volunteer at the ReStore. Contact the Volunteer Coordinator to set up a time to bring your group out. Please note, all volunteer groups must be scheduled in advance.

How does my time at the ReStore help Habitat for Humanity?

Every task a volunteer does replaces the time of a paid staff. This means that you are keeping our overhead cost down, and allowing us to give more of the money spent at the ReStore to Habitat!
